Spring Branch ISD recently committed to an initiative they’ve named “T-2-4,” which is shorthand for what students do after high school graduation. Some graduates go to technical institutes or the military (the “T”), some go to two-year colleges (the “2”), and some go to four-year universities (the “4”). However, some don’t do anything to further their education. Spring Branch found that only 36% of their high school graduates went on to successfully complete a technical certification, two-year degree, or four-year degree. Their goal is to double that number to 72% within five years. Chapelwood’s serving team believes that to be a very worthwhile goal, and decided to partner with the district on that initiative.
