Ministry Mission Statement
Chapelwood sees all Spring Branch residents as neighbors. Local serving strives to engage all Chapelwood communities with ministries, programs and events that stabilize and support children and families in Spring Branch in ways that inspire members to connect with the needs of this community. Local serving is particularly focused on activities that support students through high school and beyond as envisioned in SBISD's T-2-4 goal of increasing the number of students who obtain a technical, 2-year or 4-year degree.

Spring Branch ISD recently committed to an initiative they’ve named “T-2-4,” which is shorthand for what students do after high school graduation. Some graduates go to technical institutes or the military (the “T”), some go to two-year colleges (the “2”), and some go to four-year universities (the “4”). However, some don’t do anything to further their education. Spring Branch found that only 36% of their high school graduates went on to successfully complete a technical certification, two-year degree, or four-year degree. Their goal is to double that number to 72% within five years. Chapelwood believes that to be a very worthwhile goal, and decided to partner with the district on that initiative. Chapelwood is committed to support SBISD schools by strengthening our relationship with partnering organizations in Spring Branch and by offering programming that directly impact the success of this goal. In doing so we are communicating God´s message of hope and transformation to the students and families in Spring Branch.
