Partnering with Parents in Discipleship

We want to partner with parents in discipling our children, students, friends with special needs, and recreation leagues. Our goal in Family Discipleship is to create an environment that embodies grace to every person, birth through college, as well as encourages families to grow as disciples of Christ.

Grow Disciples

Serve Others

Encounter God

We engage each person through experiences of worship, growth opportunities in small groups, and by serving together. Our hope and prayer is that each person, child or volunteer, would leave any of our events having encountered God and knowing Him more.

Families are our focus here at Chapelwood, for it is through families that true nurturing occurs. Parents need nurturing in the Godly principles that have proven to hold fast, so these can be passed down to a new generation. Children need to be nurtured "in the way in which they should go," so when they are older, they will not depart from it.

Through this community we call Chapelwood, you will find an extended family to affirm the teachings of Jesus, while offering support and encouragement in sharing this joy of family and children.

We are so glad that you are here with the Chapelwood Family Ministry!

I plan and execute all youth and adult sports and exercise classes for families in the Spring Branch/Memorial area. Using sports to minister and build relationships with people of all ages.

Something on my bucket list:

Visiting every major league baseball park in America.

My favorite summer activity:

Relaxing by the pool!

My favorite hobbies:

Watching football and collecting football memorabilia is one of my favorite hobbies. Almost anything sports related!

My favorite food:

Fajitas!

My favorite scripture:

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for his friends” - John 15:13

The worst place I could get stuck:

The mall or anywhere crowded with people!

What I listen to while I drive:

Podcasts and sports radio

The best part of my job:

The relationships that are formed with youth and their parents is the most rewarding part of my job! Seeing the development of Christian values and leadership skills that are learned through athletics endeavors is so fun!
