Exciting things are happening with Chapelwood Worship Communities in North Spring Branch. After almost ten years of worshiping on the Campbell Road campus, The Branch worship community has moved a few miles west to the Fair Haven Campus on Gessner Road. The move allows The Branch to unite with Congregación Hispana at Fair Haven to build on the solid foundation that both communities have established. Pastor Luis Palomo of The Branch and Pastor Jairo Ortiz of Congregación Hispana have been working hard over the last few months to coordinate the move and successfully assimilate the two communities.
On February 4 at 11:15 a.m., The Branch in its new form and Fair Haven’s Contemporary Worship Service combined to celebrate this new chapter of exciting ministry together on Gessner. On February 11, The Branch launched its regular weekly worship in the Fellowship Hall on Gessner at 11:15 a.m. with Pastor Luis Palomo as Lead Pastor and Pastor Jairo Ortiz serving as an Associate.
The Branch move bolsters a growing program ministry on the Gessner Campus, allowing all worship communities to share in the joy of combined ministry opportunities. The Campbell Road property will continue to be involved in vital Chapelwood mission ministries in Spring Branch - including the Branch Enrichment program. We believe the move of The Branch and the recalibration of ministries on Gessner will allow us to have a greater scope of influence in our community and expand God’s Kingdom in new ways. We anticipate a great move of God in our midst.
