During the Advent and Christmas season, we are surrounded by sparkling decorations and cheerful music. It seems as if everyone is caught up in the joyful spirit of Christmas. For many of us though, the holiday can be difficult, sad, and lonely.

The Service of the Longest Night is held on the Sunday evening before the longest night of the year. The "longest night" has become an expression for the spiritual journey of grief and loss. Our time together will be especially appropriate for those who have experienced a significant loss this past year. In this time of worship, you are invited to a quiet refuge of prayer, music, remembrance, and Holy Communion. We will acknowledge our losses and ponder the everlasting hope that shines like a light in the darkness.

We have several additional opportunities in the month of December to worship and celebrate the birth of Jesus.
