SATURDAY IN-PERSON WORSHIP SERVICE UPDATE (6/25/20): Hey Mercy Street family, We love you. We miss you. We are ready to regather. However, covid has other plans.
I am postponing our regathering at this time. We will NOT gather in person this Saturday. After consulting the lead doctor at Houston Methodist and our Chapelwood regathering taskforce, we are taking precautions to “do no harm.” For the next several weeks we will worship online. Form a Group+Church with 2-3 others in our community. Zoom groups will continue. Be on the look-out for an in-person tailgate and communion sometime in July. I know how hard it is to endure this roller coaster of uncertainty. The weariness of these days compounds in our muscles, scatters our thoughts and shortens each breath. Let me encourage you to join us online for a word of hope. I’ll be preaching this Saturday from the Lord’s Prayer.
I draw strength from these words in Galatians 6:9-10. Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in. So then, while we [as individual believers] have the opportunity, let us do good to all people [not only being helpful, but also doing that which promotes their spiritual well-being], and especially [be a blessing] to those of the household of faith.
Beginning July 15, join us on the third Wednesday of each month for Commuion Tailgate in the Fairhaven parking lot at 7:00PM. Bring your own food and will provide communion.

The Mercy Street Community forms a beautiful mosaic of people diverse in our experiences and background, but common in our desire to seek a closer relationship with God and with each other.
