Life can feel really hard sometimes, but we do not need to walk through the difficult times alone. Mercy Street’s P85 Group provides spiritual and community support for anyone living with mental illness. Who’s it for? Any person living with mental illness in any of its many and varied expressions. Any friend or family member who loves someone living with mental illness. All who have a desire to be supported in their spiritual journey, particularly as we journey through the challenges of our mental health.
Facilitator: Betsy Hammer knows firsthand what it’s like to be affected by mental illness. She is a psychiatric nurse at Menninger Clinic and holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
The name P85 comes from Psalm 85.10: Mercy and Love and Faithfulness meet in the street. Right Living and Peace embrace and kiss!
When: Saturday nights, 7-8 p.m. following Mercy Street. Childcare provided for people attending Mercy Street – pick up children at 7:55.
