WELCOME TO ELEMENTARY
FOURTH & FIFTH GRADE
The Preteen years are a time when children begin to acknowledge self-awareness and explore their identity and role in their family, school, and society. Chapelwood Children seeks to immerse the children in God's love by intergrating Biblical teachings, in-depth small group discussions, and motivational music. Through providing a like-minded community we are able to move children to love God, love life, and love others.
Our intent is to help the children navigate their Preteen years with the knowledge that God's Spirit will continue to transform them as they learn to make wise choices, trust in God, and treat others the way they want to be treated.
Sunday School
On Sunday mornings we implement discussion based lessons by partnering with Orange's faith based curriculum, 252 Preteen. By marrying Methodist theology and age appropriate activities we are able to move children to love life by inciting discovery. As the children transition into Student Ministries our hope is to motivate them to continue to seek God's love through community, Jesus' teachings, and the church.
Fourth and Fifth Grades are located in the Children's Basement. Here the children gather at the beginning of the 9:45 a.m. Discipleship/Worship Hour to participate in a time of worship with Kindergarten-3rd Grade. Once all other grade levels are dismissed 4th & 5th Grade will regather for small group engagement in the theater.
