Methodists believe that through baptism, we are initiated into Christ's holy church and incorporated into God's mighty acts of salvation.
In baptism, parents join together with the faith community and celebrate God's gift of grace at work in the life of their child. The baptismal covenant is connectional in nature and celebrated by the gathered community. When you bring your child forward for baptism, you are promising to raise them in the church, to teach and model Christian faith for them. In return, the Chapelwood community vows to pray for your family and to help nurture your child's development.
Baptisms are conducted monthly in the Sanctuary services on the second Sunday of the month. Baptism class is held most months on the 4th Sunday of the month at 11:15 a.m. in LC201.
