Everyone, meet Evan Nehring! Evan Nehring and his family have been members of Chapelwood for about four years now. On most Sunday's Evan can be found in the Fountain Hallway greeting and speaking with our fabulous Chapelwood members and visitors about our missions local and abroad. Not too long ago Evan came on staff as an Associate Director of our Serving Ministry. When asked about being called to Chapelwood, this is what he had to say, "When discerning about coming on staff at Chapelwood the one thing that stood out to me was how hard Chapelwood works to provide an authentic community of worship from all sorts of different demographics." One of the most positive qualities about Evan is that he has a servant's heart. In fact that is an inherited trait passed on from his parents Brad and Nicole! Nicole volunteers most of her time with the UMW while you can find Brad sweating with the best of them during Student Ministry's Summit. Evan has three younger brothers, the youngest being in the 8th grade. They all serve Chapelwood willingly and graciously. His two brothers Ryan and Nolan can be found volunteering with our Student Ministry and all four siblings can be found volunteering during VBS! This past fall Evan volunteered with Pastor LM and 4th - 5th Grade Leader, Sarah Stephens during our 5th Grade Retreat. He spent the entire weekend in Quintana working with our 5th grade boys. When asked about volunteering this is what Evan had to say, "I love volunteering with the youth because of the joy they have. They have an unadulterated joy for God that is contagious to be around! As the youth grow up I pray that they will not lose their joy for the Lord." Thank you Evan for being a true servant of Christ! We appreciate you! #raisingagenerationinfaith #wearechapelwood #wednesdayshoutout
