Chapelwood School for Young Children has a full-time nurse on staff.  In addition, all staff are Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified.

Chapelwood School’s Core Team has adopted a no waiver policy for immunizations. All immunizations must be kept up to date. 

If your child contracts any of the following illnesses/conditions,  it is imperative that the school nurse be notified immediately:

• Influenza/Flu
• Covid-19
• Giardiasis

• Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD)
• Lice
• Pinworms
• Pinkeye
• Mononucleosis
• Shingles
• Strep Throat
• Fifths Disease
• Rotavirus
• Impetigo
• Roseola
• RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus)

Should your child contract any of the above-listed illnesses/conditions, it is important to get doctor's approval before returning to school  A note from the doctor stating that the child is not contagious and is healthy enough for school activities should be submitted the morning your child returns to school.
