Students gather together from their community for three unique worship opportunities, described below. Please look at events to see our midweek and special events throughout the year. Also check out the share opportunities to see how you and your student can serve with Student Ministry.
The student ministry at Mercy Street is a community of 6th through 12th graders. Our safe environment allows teens to “come as they are” with their questions and doubts, as we learn together about Christ, and how to apply his teachings in our lives. Every Saturday night we come together to worship God in a new and exciting way. We will try to gain more insight into exactly who God created us to be and how we can support one another along the way. Students meet in the Fellowship Hall to worship with the larger church community, and then split off for our own lesson. Bring $2 for dinner. 6th Grade Students-
7th- 12th Grade Students On Sunday morning (9:45 Greenbay) there will be three different ways will worship over the course of the year: Youth Service, Common Ground, and Blueprint. We meet in the game room before for breakfast and fellowship, then dismiss at 9:45 a.m. for our worship. Our Youth Service will happen the majority of Sunday mornings. We worship through song, teaching and use of the prayer stations. Our teachers rotate so that our students hear multiple voices over the course of the year.
Common Ground is a service for families to worship together. We gather four times a year, two times focused on sacraments and two times around natural rhythms of life.
The third way we will worship on Sunday mornings is through Blueprint. Blueprint is geared towards specific grade levels for topics and conversation. Over the course of the next six years they will walk through a different topic every year that we think are important to the life and faith of every believer. Through the year we will meet 10 times.
