Beginnings: The Book of Genesis

In Genesis 1, we come face to face with the only One who can truly create. The Hebrew word ‘bara’ used for creation is something only God can do. God takes the formless void, the chaos, and darkness, which is desolate and unproductive, and creates something very good. Creation is an intentional act of God – a deliberate act of divine will; so creation expresses what God intends. Creation is personalized and God is deeply connected. God makes room for others to be involved in the process of renewal and birth: plants yielding seed, trees bearing fruit, the earth bringing forth vegetation. There is risk in this. “God saw that it was good,” God blesses. Good does not mean perfect or finished or in no need of development.
Join us for an inspiring series that will bring home our Creator's absolute love for His creation, and His desire to be continually involved in our lives.
