OUR PURPOSE
Camp Chapelwood strives to create a fun, adventurous and wholesome community that fosters godly growth and offers children an opportunity to spend one or more weeks in a planned program where they can learn new skills, develop new interests, hear educational and entertaining speakers, and make new friends. Camp is for boys and girls age five (5) through 5th grade, and is open to church members and community friends.
STAFF
The Camp Director is Genesis Mitchell. All activities are supervised by adult counselors, who are assisted by high school and college students. All camp registrations, correspondence, telephone calls, and requests for information should be directed to Genesis Mitchell. GENERAL CAMP INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
* Campers must be five (5) years old by the day they start camp.
* Children may be enrolled in one or more of the four sessions. Only the Camp Director may fillopenings in Camp.
* Campers will be grouped according to their 2024 school grade.
* Camp time is 9:00 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.Groups rotate among activities that are divided into equal time blocks on these days.
* Camp drop off and pick up will be on the north side of the Williams Building. Please display your child’sfirst and last name in in your windshield.
* A late fee will be charged for each child picked up late. Please be prompt.
* Please send lunches in labeled, throwaway bags with labeled, disposable drinks. If you prefer to send non-disposable lunchkits & drinks to camp, please ensure your child takes it home.
* Comfortable shorts and old T-shirts are best at camp. We have fun and might get a little dirty sometimes. Tennis shoes and socks are required for campers.
* All items you send to Camp should be labeled (bags, hats, lunches, clothing, equipment, etc.)
* Campers may not bring toys, electronics, or money to camp.
* Camp retains the right to change the schedule depending on circumstances beyond our control.
REGISTRATION
Online registration for Weeks 1-3 begins on Monday, January 15. REGISTER HERE Online registration for week 4 begins with VBS registration on Friday, March 1.
*** IMPORTANT ***
We must have a completed MASTER RELEASE AND CONSENT TO TREAT FORM and the REGISTRATION FORM for your child to attend camp.
Refund Policy
We must have written documentation requesting the cancellation of a camper’s registration. If cancellation is made prior to May 15, we will refund all money paid except $50 per session. NO REFUNDS can be made after May 15.
