In this series focused on 1 John, we are reminded that our response to God's gift of relationship is living a righteous, holy life, and that God's love is what makes this holiness possible.  "...we declare to you what we have seen and heard so that you may also have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete." (1 John 1:3-4)  Loving others, as a reflection of the love of God, grounds the believer’s new life.
