Chapelwood's Music Ministry is an energetic, diverse collection of choral ensembles, handbell choirs, instrumentalists, orchestra, and worship leaders whose styles are as varied as the worship services themselves. From the Children's Choir program through adult Chancel Choir, there is a place for anyone who wishes to participate. You are invited to become part of Chapelwood's Music Ministry and experience the presence of God through the melodies and harmonies of beautiful, meaningful music.
The Chapelwood Chancel Choir is a renowned choir that has achieved domestic and international attention via our online ministry. Each week, thousands tune in to hear the music of our 11:15 a.m. Traditional Service each Sunday, which includes our Chancel Choir and magnificent pipe organ. The Chapelwood Chancel Choir is a recorded artist group, most recently releasing “The Symphony of Hymns” album in the spring of 2022. The choir has toured the United States and internationally. We would love to have you join our choir! Email [email protected] for more information.
Chapelwood contemporary worship services Sundays at 8:30 and 9:45 a.m. are under the direction of James Kelly and some of Houston’s finest musicians. This group is also sought after on the weekly airwaves where viewers tune into hear and experience their unique take on contemporary music and hymns.
We’re a ministry of fabulous musicians and also the finest instruments. The Chapelwood Organ is currently undergoing major renovation and will return for worship in the fall of 2022 as a 180-stop Allen APEX Technology organ featuring Moller/Reuter pipes. Our organ is currently under the care of Church Organ Associates of Dallas.
Chapelwood’s main Greenbay Campus has two Steinway D Concert Grands, Bosendorfer Grand, Yamaha C3, and two Kawai Professional uprights that remain in concert quality condition year-round. Our bell choirs perform on two sets of 5-octave bells and two sets of chimes.
We hope you will join and be part of our vibrant music ministry here at Chapelwood!
Music is interwoven into all of Chapelwood's worship offerings. To find out more about worship at Chapelwood, start by looking into our weekly worship services.

I am the Sanctuary Organist - I accompany our 8:25 and 11:10 worship services and serve as the accompanist for the Chancel Choir. As the accompanist on staff I work with our soloists, instrumentalists, and wedding coordinator to support their music needs, as well. I also make sure that all of our instruments are maintained and in performance-ready shape year round. I’m available and in the office Monday-Thursday each week and would love the opportunity to work with you in any way I can to support worship in our church.
