Chapelwood's Mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by embodying God's grace as we receive it to those who need it.
We start with our identity. It is important for us to remember who we are. We are Christ-followers. We are disciples. We live out our discipleship as Methodists. This impacts the way we understand Jesus, the world, and how we do ministry in the world.
Methodist Christ-followers believe in the life-changing power of God’s grace. We hold a high view of scripture. We believe our faith must be at work in the world. And we believe everyone has a seat at the Table of God. This is reflected in the ways we speak, teach, and live. At Chapelwood, we are a church that “embodies grace as we receive it to those who need it.” And everyone needs it.
We are United Methodist, but we are Christians first, last, and always. We are Christians who live out our faith through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who work to transform the world for Christ.
