Faith Works: A Lenten Study on the Book of James
Why study the book of James during Lent? Considering one of the best-known verses from James – faith without works is dead – who could argue that the Lord Jesus demonstrates his faith through his works of teaching, healing, embracing the “least,” challenging the religious leaders and accomplishing perfect obedience to God through his suffering and death? We are often challenged to “give up something” for Lent, but “adding to” is also a good Lenten practice. During this series, we will suggest a spiritual practice or intentional action each week taken directly from the text that is being preached.
Faith Works Lenten Journals are available on Greenbay Campus in the Narthex entrance to the Sanctuary, by the Coffee Shop at Door 7,
and in hallway racks by the Library and in the Youth Building. You're invited to use this free resource in your Lenten spiritual practices.
