- About Us
When we lose sight of the radical grace of the invitation of God, we have forgotten who we are. Whenever we allow ourselves to believe that we deserve what we have, or that somehow we are more worthy than another, we will find ourselves incapable of gratitude.
If we are honest, we cringe whenever someone suggests that what we have doesn't belong to us. I worked for it, I control it, I spend it or save it. This is a question of what belongs to God. Once we can answer that question, we can find a way to give back to God what is His.
There is a lot of disappointment in life…even in the life of faith. It doesn't make much sense. The word disappointment means what it sounds like...to miss an appointment -- to have a scheduled expectation broken, a previously calendared promise erased. The greater the promise the more devastating its disappearance. Can we find rejoicing and thanksgiving in our stories even if they include disappointments?
