ProjectCURATE is a 501c3 and ministry connected to Chapelwood UMC. The organization grew out of the desire to build bridges across the divides that exist in churches in the city of Houston. We bring together pastors, lay people, academics, and grassroots volunteers to learn about what the Kingdom of God has to say about equity, race, and justice and how we can work towards that vision. In 2020, projectCURATE received a “Thriving Congregations” grant from the Lilly Endowment, and through this work organizes yearly learning cohorts that connect diverse congregations in these conversations.
