Feed the Need is Chapelwood's food pantry ministry that includes collecting food items for our two Spring Branch food pantries, and the Singles Ministry's Rice and Beans events.

Spring Break is rarely a picnic for low-income kids. While most children count down the days to vacation, students who live in poor households anxiously count the number of meals they’ll miss when they can’t get access to free meals at school. We need your help to stock the shelves of our two local food pantries: Fair Haven and East Spring Branch. We will collect food and household items for the Spring Branch food pantries on Sunday, February 23 and March 1. Suggested items are canned fruit and vegetables, canned meats and tuna, peanut butter, Hamburger Helper, and macaroni and cheese.

Volunteers are needed at our two area food pantries, Fair Haven and East Spring Branch, to help organize and serve.

Volunteers are also needed to coordinate our Chapelwood food collections that happen throughout the year, including our annual Thanksgiving Share Collection and the Singles' Rice and Bean bagging serving opportunities. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, or you just need a little more information, scroll down to "Count Me In" and let us know.

Our congregation will be collecting non-perishables also on May 31-June 7 and November 8-15, 2020.
