The UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) Sager Brown Depot is the headquarters for UMCOR’s relief-supply operations. Each year (before Covid), more than 2,000 volunteers prepare about $4 million in supplies for shipment from the Baldwin campus. Health kits, School kits, flood buckets, and other necessary supplies are distributed all around the world and in the US whenever a disaster occurs.
Locally, UMCOR Sager Brown reaches out to Baldwin neighbors through food distribution and housing rehabilitation projects, engaging volunteers in these projects that help families and the elderly.
Team members pack and check relief supplies in a large warehouse. They also have opportunities to help with food distribution and home repairs for the elderly in and around Baldwin, Louisiana. Each morning there will be several opportunities presented to choose from for all ages and skill levels.
