Chapelwood Girls Volleyball is a wonderful way to learn the game and improve skills while making new friends and being part of a team.

Parents, please read through the following information before you register.  You will be asked if you have read and understand/agree with Chapelwood’s Philosophy for Team Sports and the Code of Ethics for Parents and Coaches when you register your child.  In addition, you will be asked to sign a Waiver & Release of Liability for your child.

Chapelwood's Philosophy for Team Sports

At Chapelwood, we want our sports programs to be fun, safe and recreational for everyone involved.  We emphasize giving children the opportunity to learn and play a sport in a supportive and encouraging environment, while teaching Christian ethics and attitudes, skill development and participation.  The goal is for each child to have playing time in every game.  Parents and coaches are expected to bring a positive and accepting attitude to practices and games, and to respect each player at her level of ability.  

Registration Information

All registrations for Chapelwood Girls Volleyball 2024 will be made using an online registration system, which will be available on this page from January 15 through February 19.  Cost per player is $135, and payment must be made via credit card at time of registration.  This fee includes a team jersey, awards, practice/instruction time each week and all league fees.  When filling out the registration form, please make sure all information is correct, especially your child's name.  In addition, there will be a place to request a certain coach, and any friends your child wants to play with on the same team - the more information you can give us the better.  Teams are coached by parents, so please consider signing up to coach your child’s team when registering. 

Forming Teams

After registration closes on February 19, we will start sorting the children and putting them on teams based on their grade level.  We always make every effort to accommodate requests listed on individual registrations for a specific coach and/or friends to play with.  If there are not enough players in a specific grade, we may combine more than one grade on a team. Pre-formed teams with a coach will be accepted, however, Chapelwood reserves the right to add players to a team at our discretion.

Practices and Games

Practices will begin in early March in the Chapelwood gym.  Your team coach will notify you of practice days and times once the teams are formed.  Each team will have one practice each week through the season. 

Games will be played on Saturdays, March 23 through May 11, at various gyms in schools and churches in the Memorial/Spring Branch area. 

Note:  there will not be games on Easter weekend, but there will be practices.  

Code of Ethics for Parents and Coaches

To provide support, care and encouragement to all children participating in the Chapelwood Sports Ministry, we ask all parents and coaches to abide by the following:

• Do everything possible to ensure each child plays in a safe and healthy environment
• Encourage good sportsmanship by showing respect to all players, coaches and officials at every practice and game
• Place the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of the children ahead of any personal desire to win
• Uphold a drug, alcohol and tobacco-free sports environment and agree to refrain from their use at all games and practices
