Lent is the Christian pilgrimage that all are invited to undertake beginning with Ash Wednesday and reaching the highest pinnacle of Easter Sunday.  This is a journey that millions of Christian pilgrims have taken and will again traverse this season.  The rhythms and terrain of Lent are such that we are invited to explore, repent, examine, practice, and prepare ourselves for this journey.  This season, often called the “Bright Sadness” in the Orthodox church, will lead us to a cross on Good Friday and an empty tomb on Easter Sunday with the ultimate proclamation that “He is risen, indeed!”

We invite you to choose from the resources and practices something that seems particularly useful or needed in your life for drawing near to God in this Lenten season.  You may choose to experience Lent in a solitary fashion, or with a group of fellow pilgrims. If you would like to speak to someone about trying any of the spiritual disciplines, contact Teresa Rossy, Director of Adult Discipleship.
